Drumming Workshops

Rich can provide a wide range of different workshop options. Most often, he runs a self-contained session, typically ranging from 45 to 60mins. This can be with a single class in a school or other educational establishment, (including EFL) or a community group (brownies, scouts, WI etc). He also offers a half day – up to three separate workshops, and a full day – up to six – in schools and related settings. Up to fifty djembes are provided – more than enough for even the largest class and staff to drum simultaneously! He also runs workshops exclusively for staff, sometimes as INSET, or an after school “staff meeting”, or as a rejuvenating well-being drumming session.
He is also able to offer an African dance option, thanks to his Gambian friend and colleague Isa Badjie, now based in Ramsgate. Participants typically start with an hour’s drumming workshop, followed by an hour’s dance workshop, where Isa teaches and Rich provides live drumming accompaniment. This is particularly popular at the moment with hen parties!
